We are excited to help you create a website. There are a few steps before we get started.
Step 1: Purchase a Domain Name
We have worked with several domain name registrars and the partner we recommend is Hover. They are reliable and offer helpful features. Search their website to see if the domain name you prefer is available. If so, make the purchase. Most domain names are less than $15 annually.
Step 2: Purchase Web Hosting
In order for your website to be hosted–and available to the public at all times–you will need web hosting. Web hosting is affordable and can cost as low as $5 per month. Linking your domain name to web hosting is a simple process. We have worked with Bluehost on the majority of our projects, but there are several different options to choose from.
Step 3: Choosing a Content Management System (CMS)
When it comes to CMS’s, there are many different options to choose from, including: WordPress, SquareSpace, Wix, Jekyll, and many more. We are most familiar with WordPress but can assist with any option you choose.
Step 4: Build your Website
You’ve selected your Domain Name, Web Hosting, and CMS. Now it’s time to roll up your sleeves and create the content for your website. You will need images, and most importantly, words. If you need help, we are there to assist you.
